Yet once again a major scam has broken out at ehow and DS. This time, the scam is over ehow and Ds pirating photos they have no rights to. And this time, unlike the UK issues, which were complicated and hard to follow for many, thi issue of stolen photos and misuse of a persons copyrights is an issue most writers do understand.
Ehow and DS is operating with criminal intent, they have been and continue to remove photos from writers articles, without permission, and are submitting the photos to Google images. Now if this was all they were doing, it would be bad enough, but like I said, they are operating with criminal intent. They are not only removing photos they have no right to and submitting those removed photos to Google images, they are also attaching redirects to those photos, but redirects to where?
Well, as those writers doing the leg work have discovered, their photos, now showing up on google images, are mysteriously redirecting back to DS articles. That is correct, you have read right, ehow writers photos, removed from their articles, are being redirected to Ds writers articles. These photos we are talking about are not stock photos, we are talking about a much more serious issue here, that effects all writers at the ehow site. We are talking about photos the writers themselves took with their cameras, for use on articles they wrote. And ehow, seeing a quick buck is to be made, has swooped in and raped the writers articles, removing the photos, and doing with them as they see fit.
again, I will firmly state EHOW IS OPERATING WITH CRIMINAL INTENT - because it is knowing breaking the copyright laws of this country.
Even the ehow cheerleaders, who have fought the UK issues every step of the way, are coming on board on this, stating in posts that EHOW HAS NO RIGHT TO DO WHAT IT IS DOING. Yes, finally, ehow and Ds may have gone too far, truning even its strongest supporters against them. Ehjow has once again shown it is not above rolling up its sleeves and diving head first into yet another scandal. Writers are once again becoming outraged, and once again, to all the questions being asked, ehow is showing it is the master of silence, chosing to ignore rather then answer the newest and most serious questions being asked of it. EHOW IS A SCAM, and there is no question about it

A QUESTION OF TRUST
Can ehow the company be trusted? I think this is a fair question well worth talking about. And I am addressing this to all you UK and Canadian writers.
The simple answer is, ehow can not be trusted. I do not say that simply because I am a disgruntled writer, because I am. Ehow manager Rich - when asked point blank about their new global venture told the ehow writers that the company had no plans to expand anywhere but into the UK. Now, as press releases have shown, that was an untruth, they also expanded into Canada, and are about to expand into even more countries. Yes, this may at first appear to be great news for you writers in the UK as well as in Canada, but remember what ehow told it's U.S. writers. This is important, because what they do to us today, they will do to you tomorrow.
Rich, the ehow community manager also promised every single U.S. writer a generous compensation for all those articles they cloned onto the UK site - without a single writers permission. Has ehow followed through on its promise? No, they have not. In fact, not a single penny has been paid to a single U.S. writer as a result of ehow stealing the use of their articles. And why is this important to you writers in the UK and Canada? Because it goes back to the issue of trust. We all were promised a generous compensation, and most received under $10, and many more under $2 - and none of this money had anything to do with compensating us for money lost from the their of our articles.
Ehow explained the generous compensation was for the value of our articles at the time they were on the UK site and not for compensation due to lost earnings from those articles. Now, not only are we talking about an issue of trust, but also an issue of moral judgment. Of course our articles were not worth much, when ehow cloned them onto another site, the URL's became ineffective, the articles dropped like an anchor off the search engines. During the cloning scandal, ehow raking in huge amounts of money off ads that were placed on our articles, and pocketed every penny those ads made, and have basically said to the U.S. writers, sorry, get over it and move on. This is nothing short of Robinhood in reverse, in this case, ehow plays the role of Robinhood, and takes from the poor and gives to the rich, ITSELF. Drop it and write more articles and stop demanding answers to your questions the ehow cheer leaders keep saying. Ehow cheerleaders, by the way, it is believed get a little something in their earnings for harrassing anyone who is not friendly to ehow. Right, keep pushing out more articles so Ehow the Esow can continue to grow and get fatter while paying its writers pennies for their hard work. You have been warned, this is exactly what you can expect, no respect.
Please, read my post coming soon on here, DO THE EHOW SWEEPS GIVE YOU THE CREEPS, because as sure as I am typing this out, your articles will be deleted. Not all at once, they select certain one's that seem to match up with DS articles, delete them, then pocket the money they earn from redirecting your old URL links to DS articles. They swear up and down they do not do this, that all deleted articles do not fit ehow guidelines. Really, articles that in many cases have been up and live for 1 to 2 years or more? Top earning articles from top ehow writers, really? Again, we are talking about trust, and the facts just don't back up ehow's claims.
Yet once again the issue of moral judgment comes into play. Surprise, surprise, guess what many ehow writers began to notice as well as question? Many of their deleted articles were quickly rewritten and republished weeks later by a DS writer. That's right, DS writers were being assigned to rewrite articles ehow deleted. Why? Glad you asked. U.S. writers write articles under a different pay system then what UK and Canadian writers will be under.. Here in the states, ehow pays its ehow writers by a secret payment system it refuses to disclose to the writers, and the writers continue to earn off their articles for as long as ehow keeps the articles in its library. DS writers are paid differently. They are usually paid up front per article, much like you will be. So by deleting ehow writers articles, they break the chain of month after month payments to those writers. They simply turn around and ask a DS writer to rework the deleted article for a small fee. Ehow insists this practice does not go on, but in fact, it does on a regular basis.
I know many still will want to write for ehow, after all, you have all read those stories proclaiming ehow pays its top writers $80 per article, right. Once again we are getting into the issues of what is morally right and can ehow be trusted. You see, ehow put their heads together and came up with a brilliant plan. Let's put out the idea that ehow's top writers are now making $80 an article. We can feed the story to the UK and Canadian press, they will run with it, it will buy us tons of free press, and get UK and Canadian writers foaming at the mouth to sign up and want to make that kind of money. Ask yourselves, whats wrong with that picture? Hint - it's all a lie. Not one UK or Canadian writer will make $80 an article. Why do I know this? Because U.S. ehow writers saw the story and began asking, which one's of us are now making $80 per article and how can we sign up to make that much? Ehow's answer, sorry, it was bad communication, we never meant to imply that ehow writers were being paid $80 per article, what we meant to say was DS writers who also display their articles on ehow, they will now be paid $80 per article.
You read correctly, ehow has now invented the art of the $80 scam. You are all being scammed into thinking you have a chance at making $80 per article, and I am telling you, not in your wildest dreams. It just won't happen. Ehow has now not only lied to its U.S. writers, but also to every person in the UK and Canada. And they know it.
So what can UK and Canadian writers expect to make? Here is how ehow worked their magic back here in the states. At first earning will be damn good, I suspect, . Earnings were almost too good when they started out here. But as time goes on, almost everyone will find they have suddenly dropped to the base $3 an article mark. Ask yourselves, is making $3 per article not the same as working in a sweat shop?
Again, it comes down to what is morally right and an issue of trust. And in every single instance, ehow has come up way short.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, along comes that greedy ehow shark once again. This time they are pulling off the art of the $80 scam. Say what? Sounds kind of silly, until you begin to see the entire picture.
Back a while ago ehow announced it would begin to pay out $80 per article to hand selected ehow writers. Needless to say, many became excited at the thought of making $80 per article compared to the peanuts they had been paid up intil now. So people began to ask, how can we get in on the deal. Well, don't saddle up the horse just yet. If you know anything about ehow, its that they have mastered the art of double speak. No no, we didn't mean you ehow writers, we meant DS writers who also place their articles onto ehow.
that's what we meant to say when we said ehow writers. DS writers. So many just threw up their hands and passed the whole thing off as yet one more example of ehows lack of communication.
But was it really a lack of communication, or was something else much darker taking place, something well thought out ahead of time? Glad you asked. Breaking in blogs and news stories all across the UK yesterday was stories cheering on the arrival of ehow, proclaiming that ehow pays its top writers $80 per article. Now I would like to think my mama didn't raise any fools, and you can smell this skunk a mile away. Ehow knew exactly what it was doing when it announced ehow writers would be making $80 an article, when in fact it wasn't talking about ehow writers at all. That statement was put out there so they could feed it to a news hungry media over in the UK, and the UK took the bait without as much as asking any questions at all of ehow. In bold print, ehow to pay writers $80 an article. Unbelievable, Once again ehow the esow has proven they are indeed the kings when it comes to making dimes do the work of dollars. And talk about free press.
I have news for our over- seas friends, they are about to be hit with one of the biggest scam machines out there. ehow writers do not get paid $80 per article nor will they ever get paid that much.
Another story put it this way, some ehow writers will get paid $80 an article, while others can expect to make between $3 to $75 per article. Say what? They don't know what's about to hit them. This sow can't squeal, and there ain't enough scraps in the UK to satisfy its hunger.
Check out this news story and see how misleading ehow has been with the $80 per article scam they are now running. http://psmithjournalist.com/2010/03/exclusive-demand-media-now-accepting-uk-canadian-freelance-writers/

Hello, I am know as THE PREACHER and I am educating people to all of
eHOWs dirty games. Lets talk a bit about those famous eHOW sweeps,
shall we. Ever wonder what is really behind the madness? Yes, some are
articles that are out of eHOW’s guidelines. Yes, some are poorly
written. But many of these that get deleted are top earning articles.
Thats correct, they are top earning articles, that have been in place
for several years in many cases, only to overnight no longer fall
within eHOW’s guidelines. How to hell can that be? What is really going
on here?
Glad you asked. There is gold in your deleted articles, pure gold – for
eHOW. I know, how can there be gold for eHOW in deleted articles. First
lets look at just what your high earning articles have accomplished.
They have matured and rank high on the search engines. They have
developed a following, in as far as on line articles can develop a
following. They have built up comments and views. And then eHOW comes
riding in on its white horse and deletes em. All that hard work and
effort is gone, right?
Don’t bet the family farm on it. EHOW wins on several fronts, and here
is the secret to their dirty little game of deleting high earning
articles. First, even though your articles get deleted, they are not
totally gone, something very important remains behind and in eHOWs
control – your URL’s. And therein is the gold, because eHOW takes your
articles URL’s and redirects them to pages full of links to DS (DEMAND
STUDIOS) so all your hard work and effort are now going to serve eHOW’s
cause, promoting their DS articles.
These redirects are eHOW’s free bread and butter. The DS articles are
already paid for, so all traffic they redirected to those articles is
extra money in eHOWs pocket. An added bonus, they are now making money
off the DS article ads and not paying for your articles any longer.
It’s win win all the way around. Another bonus, all your deleted
articles comments. EHOW uses the strength of those comments to help
drive the DS articles even higher in the search engines rankings.
This is why eHOW is never clear as to why your articles get deleted. In
many cases, there is no reason they can clearly state and point to. Oh
yeah, we deleted your top earning articles so we can make a pile of
money off of them – nope, don’t expect them to answer truthfully on
this one. But now you know, redirects of deleted articles spells gold
for eHOW.
If it still isn't clear, don't look at it as just your articles, look at the bigger picture. Ehow deletes thousands of articles at a month. Thats now thousands of articles they no longer have to make payroll on. That is huge. And every URL from every deleted article is now redirected back to a page full of DS articles that are simular to your deleted article. And these DS articles are already paid for for the most part, so another huge savings. Then there are those ads, all the money from the ad clicks, from people who went looking for your deleted article, all goes to ehow. It is a dirty game they play fueled by greed.

Here are the facts. EHOW is one of the buggiest sites you will ever
write on. The publisher wizard they use is constantly breaking down,
eating up half you articles steps, or freezing your articles in limbo
so you can’t get at them and no one can read them.
Communication sucks. Day in and day out writers are asking the same
questions and getting no answers. And when eHOW does respond, it is
usually a warning threatening action against you and your account. No
PR skills what so ever.
But as others have already stated on here, the UK site, eHOWs secret
brain child, has split the community of writers right in half and has
everyone going at one another's necks. Secret, yes, their secret UK
site. They secretly mirrored all U.S. writers articles onto both
sites, without any of the writers permission to do so. they then made
money off those articles, thousands upon thousands of articles, and
told no one. When someone stumbled upon their secret site, it all came
to a head.
EHOW insisted their UK site had caused no one any harm, and for a
long time, refused to answer any of the writers questions. Many
writers took down their articles, many left the site. Others
threatened to leave, and finally ehow agreed to remove all articles of
U.S. writers from the UK site. In the meantime, many U.S. writers
found their once thriving articles had stopped earning. Thats right,
eHOW, by mirroring the USA site over to the UK site, had messed up the
url’s, so many LOST A LOT of money during this time. Ehow then
insisted all U.S. writers articles were no longer on the UK site, and
that the profiles would be removed.
As it turned out, many articles were removed, but many more were not.
Not only that, but all newly written articles here in the USA were
still being cloned in the UK site. So where are we today? Well, the
articles are finally removed, but ehOW still refuses to compensate U.S.
writers for all the actually money they lost while their articles
stopped earning. EHOW instead came up with what they called a generous
compensation, not for money lost from all this, but for what they
deemed the value of each writers articles were during the months the
entire UK thing unfolded.
Say what? So many writers generous compensation came to under $10,
many more received under $!. But how could that possibly be? We are
talking about writers who had hundreds of articles and who lost
hundreds of dollars? Easy to explain, the values of the U.S. writers
articles were not worth spit during that time, because eHOW killed
their article links when they mirrored the two sites together. They
continue to refuse to compensate U.S. writers for all that lost income,
even though eHOE profited from those articles. Remember, U.S. writers
were paid nothing for their articles while they were on the UK site,
but eHOW had ads on those articles and pocketed all the earnings.
The latest news is that outraged writers are demanding that their UK
profiles, placed their from the U.S site without the writers
permission, be removed. EHOW has said NO. U.S. writers are also
demanding the right to edit those profiles, which contain their
personal information. Again, eHOW today has said NO. I would strongly
recommend that no one sign up at that site. They will steal your
articles, and your earnings, and not give it a second thought.
Here is a link to the ongoing battle over the UK site, the further you read, it begins to get ugly. Most of the most outspoken posts have been deleted by Rich, the ehow community manager. http://www.ehow.com/forums.aspx?plckForumPage=ForumDiscussion&plckDiscussionId=Cat%3aeHow+GeneralForum%3a100Discussion%3af7351708-e40d-4cf3-b8ce-8d448de8303d
